I love Howard Shore's work for the 3 LOTR soundtracks.

James Newton Howard - Signs This music is wonderful

James Horner is also a fave - Braveheart, Titanic, Willow

But I think my favorite movie soundtrack is Last of the Mohicans by Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman.

There are many other great ones, I love soundtracks.

City of Angels is up there, as is Cruel Intentions and The Virgin Suicides.
But my all time favorite is a two way tie between Duets (Gwyneth sings! Who knew?) and Magnolia.

Mad Love - I still listen to it a lot it is defintely one of my all-time favorites.

The Crow - ranks a close second.

All the 3 LOTR soundtracks, definitely. I also think that The passion of the Christ had pretty impressive score, I'll probably buy that one soon.

I prefer scores, I think they're better than the soundtracks that are just a compilation of songs which very often weren't even made for the movie...

I love Howard Shore and James Newton Howard -- I prefer scores myself. It's true, lots of times the songs aren't even right for the movie.

Cruel Intentions was really good, I love Colorblind and Every Me, Every You.

I also like Swimfan, it has some good songs.

There are a bunch of fantastic soundtracks out there, but my all-time favorites are probably The Parent Trap, The Sound of Music and Titanic.

Singles: Partly just because the music is great and partly for nostalgia. Good old Seattle, good old grunge. How I miss those days!!

Rushmore: I love seventies/classic rock, and this soundtrack has The Who, The Kinks, John Lennon, Cat Stevens!! The original music is great too.

I also tend to like most soundtracks that are more classically based, more instrumental. I love The Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack. At the moment I'm a little bit obsessed with listening to it. Also love the soundtrack to Shine. Crouching Tiger soundtrack is good too.
