Saw it today. the best non-spoiler comments I can make is it is dark interesting dramatic , different and throw in a few familiar DC names.
Must see if this Is the type of movie you wanna see

I'm not afraid of psychologically controversial topics, so it would probably be my sort of thing

Plus, I said from the first time I watched the trailer that I would give this a watch purely because Joaquin is the lead actor. He's a very interesting actor on screen.

I'm not surprised that it has received a political backlash - people overreact to anything now that portrays a villain as having somewhat of a sympathetic background.

I've seen it 3 times and it amazes me everytime. I really really like this movie.

I think there will definitely be a flooding of posts, now that a sequel has been green-lit.

huge successful at the box office and I heard that Joaquin kept dodging questions about a sequel, which was telling because he's never been someone to shy away from professing that he dislikes the concept of sequels/remakes in general in the past.

The fact that he will play this role again proves how much he enjoyed it.
