I wasnt sure if anyone had a thread of this movie or not. So if there is one made. I'm awfully sorry. Anywho, I saw a preview for this movie and it looks awesome. It starrs Hugh Jackman [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Summary: During the late 19th century, famed monster hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing (Jackman) heads to Eastern Europe to battle with Count Dracula (Roxburgh), the Wolf Man (Kemp), and Frankenstein's Monster (Hensley). By his side is the ravishing Anna (Beckinsale), a member of a family committed to ridding the world of evil.

I have no spoilers. I just can't wait to see this movie. Ever since I saw those really cool promotional posters last year... I knew I wanted to see it. Plus I love Hugh Jackman as well which is another incentive.

i've been waiting for this to come out ever since i heard about it. sounds freaking awsome.

I'll be there to see this one on opening day, I can't wait. I like Hugh Jackman & Kate Beckinsale a lot, and it doesn't hurt that the story is cool as hell.

I predict it will be one of my favorite movies of '04.

frankenstein's monster isnt evil! it's just....misunderstood! All it wants is to be accepted by society!

I caught the trailer on an episode of Coming Attractions, it looked really amazing. I knew right away it was one I wanted to see in the theater. Plus, I love Hugh Jackman, so there's an added bonus. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Wenham Qs Up In Van Helsing

David Wenham, who plays Carl in the upcoming supernatural film Van Helsing, told SCI FI Wire that his character is a weapons maker for the title hero, played by Hugh Jackman. "Carl ... is a monk who invents extraordinary weapons," Wenham said in an interview. "He's sort of like a very period Q [from the James Bond films]."

In the film, Carl gets a chance to leave his chambers and pursue adventure with Van Helsing, who is on a mission to hunt down vampires and other monsters. "He's somebody who's spent his whole entire life deep underground in this monastery, but for this particular time, he's told by his superiors to go off with Van Helsing on this mission to hunt down Dracula," Wenham said.

Wenham will soon be on view in the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, reprising the role of Faramir from The Two Towers. Van Helsing was a total departure, Wenham said. "The fight sequences [in Van Helsing] involve totally different forms of weaponry, and the genre is totally different as well," he said. Universal Pictures will release Van Helsing on May 7, 2004.

Universal Pictures is owned by Vivendi Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.
