It starts Keifer Sutherland (bad guy) and Sally Field. He rapes and kills her daughter while she is on the phone listening in outside her work place. He gets let off b/c the dumb police can't follow procedures so she is out for revenge.
Very good movie I might add. __________________

I saw an Eye For An Eye recently. It's so horribly sad. I mean, finding out your kid is dead would be bad enough, but when you hear her dying on the phone & can't stop it or help her in any way...*shudders*.

i don't usually cry at movies but Moulin Rouge really got to me. Even though you know Satine is going to die from the beginning, the movie makes you forget that. you end up thinking she & christian will make it. then at the end you remember "oh wait she's going to die". plus the heartbreaking cry ewan gives at the end

I only cry when Christian cries at the end. So sad.

Haven't seen Moulin Rouge yet, didn't think it be a sad movie.

You wouldnt think so cause of all the funny scenes and the musical songs but I thought the ending was sad.

Dancer in the Dark is one of the most tragic movies I have ever seen. It's really an emotional watch.
Agree with the Moulin Rouge thing, the ending is heartbreaking! |

I love tragic movies! They are my fav type of movie, but the tragedy has to be real and not sugar coated...the worst forced tragic movie I ever saw was Here On Earth. I was like, die already! it was awful, but made correctly, with the right actors, tragic movies can move me like nothing else!
Some of my favssssss The English Patient: I know so many ppl who hate this movie but I love the chemistry between him and Katherine Man in the Moon: I saw this when I was 15 and cried so hard. Amazing! Phantom of the OPera: the latest movie that really touched me AI: Just because you knew he could never have his mother back, that she could never be redeemed, that he would search forever for something he couldnt ever have __________________

I love Moulin Rouge and Titanic. But I don't necessarily like all tragedies...so many of them are just too sappy and stupid.
