^- LOL that's interesting. I was only 8 too. I guess because I had grown up reading those childhood books on Titanic which is what got me interested. I honestly think that was my very first adult/romance movie I saw (I don't count Star Wars because that was more action than romance.)

The end of the movie was spoiled for me too. Titanic mania was everywhere at the time so it was hard to avoid spoilers. Especially since I was such a huge fangirl.  __________________

I didn't cry the first few times, but the fourth or fifth time I watched the movie I couldn't stop crying. Hee.

The scene where Rose looks at the Statue of Liberty usually makes me emotional too. The music and the expression on her face is heartbreaking. It's like Rose lost him all over again there, but she knew she'd never forget him and that her life would never be the same because of him.

The first time I saw this movie, I was 8 as well so it didn't make me cry. When I was older of course it did.

It totally is. I liked seeing Rose more relaxed the second half. She was so tense in her world of wealth that she had to supress who she really was, the woman Jack saw from the begining, a burning desire to break free and just live.
