Thanks for opening, Dave! I added tags and you can find this in the Board Guide now.

Haven't seen this yet, but I love C. Nolan movies overall so I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually.

Update: Just saw it...

:( Unfortunately, it wasn't my cup of tea. It pains me to say that as a long-time Nolan fan, but this one just feels too convoluted. I was bored out of my mind for the most part.

Kenneth Branagh, however, is brilliant in it. His character reminded me a little of Christoph Waltz in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS - he had the craziness but also a clear mental illness brought on by a physical illness and stress of trying to control everyone/everything. I liked the idea that his character wanted to watch the world burn (yes, The Dark Knight pun intended) just because his own life took a downward spiral. I found him to be much more relatable than his wife (which was probably the opposite intention but I guess Branagh was just THAT good).

To sum up - positives were the score, cinematography and Branagh's performance for me. ;)

i think the entire film is a full circle, but no one has an exact time/moment that the circle began. i watched a second time, and need a third viewing to answer some questions from the second rewatch. lol.
