I saw this reply I didn’t know until today that they had someone else sing and dub over Christopher’s voice |

They did that a lot during that time. West Side Story is full of dubbing, even for actors like Natalie Wood whose original singing was absolutely fine. |

I really disagree with the concept of dubbing when it's done against the actor's will. In both movies, you had actors who recorded their own singing but then were betrayed during post-production. I doubt they'd dare to do that these days, because it takes the performers for granted and basically goes against their contracts.

Nostalgic filming video for Newsies! Spot a young Christian Bale, David Moscow from BIG and Michael Goorjian who played Neve Campbell's boyfriend Justin in the 90s show Party of Five :sigh:

^ All I keep seeing on social media is a ton of comments jokingly comparing Ben Platt to one of Danny Zuko's gang in 'Grease' saying he looks too old to play a high-schooler :embarrassment:
I know that Mike Faist (who'll be playing Riff in the upcoming West Side Story movie) played one of the characters in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway and people loved him in it. Every time I see people trashing casting choices due to age gaps, I think of Beverly Hills 90210 and how at least half of the main cast were in their 20s (even 30s) playing high school teens  it was just a normal thing back then. |
:apoiler: ANNETTE song preview with Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard!
