Thanks for the new one Gwen!

One my favourite musicals from recent years was "Burlesque" with Christina Aguilera and Cher.

It was a great story with a bit of romance and a fantastic soundtrack! :0

^ Wow what a coincidence, I caught half of Burlesque on TV the other day as I flicked through channels Kristen Bell's dynamic with Cher was quite something They were at loggerheads, it reminded me a little of Cher's mother/daughter relationship with Winona Ryder in MERMAIDS

I love Mermaids too!

It was a good film, I think Christina got hated on because she did the singer to acting thing and before her Britney tried to do and...failed IMO.

So no one had high expectations for her. But she's since gotten other acting roles and is actually going to be in a new film called "Zoe" with Theo James!

From what I saw of Christina in the parts I watched, she was great I feel bad for her that she kind of lived in the shadow of Britney. Christina had the most amazing voice and she did the co-sang a song for MOULIN ROUGE, too. (Remember the poodle style hair? )

Did you see Britney Spears' movie CROSSROADS?

Justin Long and Zoe Saldana had supporting roles

^^^ That's the 'shadow' I was referring to!

Taryn Manning and Zoe Saldana saved that movie IMO.

The movie was like one big sleepover event

Best thing about it was Dan Ackroyd's "what am I doing here?" face.

They got some big name actors but it was still Brit centric and not the best. Same with Mariah Carey and "Glitter".

Agreed. Acting wise I thought Britney did okay, but she was the most hyped star at that point so it was going to do well regardless.

somehow, somewhere, I remember seeing this movie. (Even tho the genre isn’t my thing) and remember I thought Britney wasn’t that bad in it. But it was a forgettable movie, cause I forgot I watched it til I saw it here

Did you hear that NBC's next live musical movie for Christmas 2018 will be Hair? My mom saw the original Hair when she was a teen and even knows some of the songs. I'm curious to know how this new Hair will be and hope it will be a huge hit
