Oh man, I would so see this movie if Joshua Jackson is the adult in the movie :sigh: Its cool though that Emilio Estevez is in the movie as his regular character cause that gives me a little hope that Joshua might play in it

MD4!?!?! Holy crap, I was just thinking yesterday how if they can make a Sandlot 2, then a MD4 is totally justified. I would have huge reservations to see it if it isn't Joshua Jackson playing Charlie, not just 'cause I despise changing actors in roles, but JJ as Charlie was one of the great things about the MD series.

As much as I would love to see Joshua doing this, wouldnt you think he would have a bigger career now then what made him a child star?

:nod: As much as I love Josh and would love to see him doing the Ducks 4, there has always been rumours circulating about him doing the movie but, i dont think he would do the next Duck movie :(

would love it if Josh was playin Charlie but i think he'll see it as a make or break career choice - if he does it isn't he kinda going backwards then again he may pull it off in such a way that critics love it

I dont know I can see Joshua pulling it off and making the 4th film a movie worth watching. I just dont know if I can see someone else play the character of Charlie, if not Joshua.

that's the thing, we've only know Josh to play Charlie so getting someone else to play Charlie would lokk kinda funny to those who've seen the MD flics

Hee, sorry. Just watched the breakfast club and came across this thread. I liked the MD movies as a kid, it would be cool to see this movie IF charlie was actually josh jackson. I just like continuity and switching actors would be lame. Regarding Sandlot 2 (first I've heard of this as well) are any of the original actors going to reprise any roles? What's the deal...loved that movie too actually, so I'm not sure if I like this idea..

I probably wouldnt see it if JJ did not play the role of Charlie, Its his role his character. its like Val Kilmer and George Clooney playing Batman..

No offense but I have a gnawing feeling about this movie. I mean, usually sequels (and trilogys and beyond) don't work out so well. I mean, let's look at The New Jungle Book, Casper Meets Wendy, Child's Play (Bride of Chucky wasn't bad) Friday the 13th (Jason X anyone), My Girl 2, The Fast and Furious 2, XXX state of the union (or something like that)...

I give props to MD for having three great movies but I don't know about the idea of having the 4th one. Just my opinion :look:

I tell you what went wrong with "Fast the Furious 2" and "XxX2": NO VIN DIESEL!!!! :lol: I know that's the reason and I didn't even bother with them.

But on a strange note, IMBD no longer has "The Mighty Ducks 4" listed in "announced movies" category. Maybe this project was scratched altogether and no longer will be made. :(

If they're making fourth, make sure they'll have everyone back or at least most of them. I love MD2 the most.
