I'm also really excited for Samantha Barks. I've seen vids of her in the West End Production and she is going to be phenomenal

She was in the anniversary concert, she was good, but I'm a Lea Salonga fan
 I just love that they at least included a cast member from the theater. __________________

Def love Lea Salonga as well, but she probably wouldn't have been a realistic choice for this movie.
I think Samantha is phenomenal, and I'm glad they went with her over people like Taylor Swift and Lea Michele __________________

Oh I didn't mean for Lea to be in it - although it would've been great. I just meant I loved Lea as Fantine and Eponine
(on stage)OMG if they had cast Taylor Swift, I would not be watching! I love Taylor, but she's not for Les Mis. Lea Michele would've been OK, but I dunno, I don't feel good about that either. __________________

I just hate all the hate that Samantha got once she was cast from Taylor Swift and Lea Michele fans, quite unfair tbh esp because Samantha is accomplished in her own right
 I like Taylor as well but agreed Eponine was not for her IMO. __________________

Samantha Barks is amazing, saw her in the concert for 25h anniversary and fell in love. Her rendition of "On My Own" almost brought me to tears. I agree that Lea wouldn't have been the best choice for the movie although she killed it on West End/Concert. So excited. Christmas next week is overshadowed by this release!
