Yes, and it's already made over 82 milliom worldwide. Not bad for a film that everybody thought would flop. And coming in at number 2 is OK against such a powerhouse of a film like HappyFeet..which is another film I want to see

Casino Royale breaks Bond box office record

Casino Royale has scored the biggest ever opening weekend for a Bond film.

Daniel Craig’s debut as 007 grossed £13.4m (€19.8m) and topped the UK box office.

It smashed the previous record of £9.1m (€13.5m) held by Pierce Brosnan’s Die Another Day.

It became the third biggest opening weekend of all time, behind Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire and Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Martin G Wilson thanked the British public for backing Craig.

“We are delighted the UK has had record-breaking results over the weekend for Casino Royale, and we are very grateful for the support and goodwill of the British public to the new film and most especially towards Daniel Craig,” they said.

The decision to cast Craig as the first blond Bond was controversial. A website was set up calling on fans to boycott the film. But critics are now hailing him as the best Bond of all time.

Casino Royale is based on Ian Fleming’s first 007 novel and goes back to Bond’s early career.

It made a healthy $42.7m (€33.3m) in its opening weekend in the US – but looks like being beaten to the number one spot by animated film Happy Feet.

I saw this yesterday and it was amazing! It is easily one of my favorite Bond movies now. I loved Daniel Craig's interpretation of James Bond and I adored Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, she was a perfect match for 007's intelligence and good looks.

It was a really good movie, much better than Bond movies have been lately.

Sorry I don't know how to put the spoiler box around it...

I actually went and saw this movie again today and i did enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. I really like Daniel Craig as bond and really, I think Eva Green is perfect. I think she is my favorite out of all the other "bond girls" (she hated if people address her like that but I just want to get to the point). She is absolutely amazing.

They looked adorable together

I went to see Casino Royale with my friend and I absolutley loved it!

I've never seen any of the other bond movies, and had no desire to, but after watching the previews and seeing Daniel Craig in the role, I just had to go and see it. The theater was packed and everyone loved every minute of the movie. Daniel craig did an amazing job as bond.

I just got back from seeing this and I loved it, especially all the action. Daniel Craig did a great job playing James Bond. Him and Eva Green had great chemistry and she's now my favorite out of all the Bond girls.
