I watched the last HP movie in theaters, the only one I ever did, and I wish I had done that for more of them. The audience were so positive and it's the only movie other than The Dark Knight Rises and Veronica Mars where nearly everybody stood up and clapped in admiration after it ended.

Oh you mean when Ron said that it touched his heart and led him back to Hermione?

Rupert and Emma played that scene very well. Rupert looks so in love with her, and Emma looks like she's being won around after being so hurt.

I don't think I was fully sold on the idea of them properly getting together until I saw that scene.

Admittedly, I was a Krum/Hermione shipper

But I think having Ron make that big speech when he returned in DH1 did a lot of good for showing how he really appreciates having Hermione in his life.

It was needed after the mess that was 'The Half-Blood Prince'. The love triangle dynamic in that movie was very teen opera ish, plus I thought it was cruel of Ron to kiss another guy right in front of her after he made it clear in Goblet of Fire that he liked Hermione when he saw her kiss Krum (DOUBLE STANDARDS, Ron!

I always thought that Krum was more interested in Hermione than she was, which is why I always find it hard to get behind that ship

I personally started shipping Ron and Hermione romantically starting in Chamber of Secrets when they go to hug each other at their reunion scene in the Great Hall and they’re all awkward so they end up shaking hands instead
