I loved this movie!

It was really funny, but moving as well. Let me just say that I've never rooted for a couple as much as I rooted for Joel and Clementine. As a fan of Charlie Kaufman's work, I went in with high hopes and I was not dissapointed. While is started off a little slow, by the first half hour it did a 180 turn and didn't stop amazing me the rest of the way through.

The concept of the movie was really thought provoking, but the way it was played out was what made this movie so great. There were also a number of themes that were painfully familiar, the main one being the importance of overcoming the obstacles when a relationship is truly worth it.

Go out and see this movie right now!

OMG So did I this movie was amazing. At first I was a little worried. When the movie started out with a bunch of hand held shots. It was a little harsh on the eyes, but then I got over that real fast and focused on the story which is one of the most original story's I have seen in a long time. I don't want to post any spoilers till more people have seen it But it was so amazing.

Thanks everyone for all of the pictures. I can't wait to get an ES avatar!

So I saw this on Friday and I really, really, really, really loved it. I liked the "grittiness" of the cinematography and the handheld, one-camera shots because it looked more real than the super-polished, hi-res digital images we usually see. (not that I don't like superpolished, hi-res digital images but it wouldn't have worked as well for this movie) All of the actors did such a great job -- particularly Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Even Kirsten Dunst didn't annoy me...much. I loved the relationship between Joe and Clementine. And yeah. It was such a lovely, melancholy, twist-y, interesting journey. I can't even articulate it so just go and watch, yo.

Kirsten D was really good in this role. I usually like her, but she was much more real in this role. I was shocked about the doctor. I saw how she got when he touched her sholder in the office.

The house scene has to be one of my fave Joel/Clemintine scenes So sweet.

I'm pretty neutral on Kirsten Dunst overall, but I think she did so well with this part. She wasn't being overly cutesy, so yeah.

One of my favorite J/C scenes is where she
talks about the ugly doll and how it related to her and Joel just started to kiss her going "You're pretty, you're pretty, you're pretty..." and Joel says "Please let me keep this memory" - something to that effect. God, my heart ached. Plus, the lighting and yellowness of that scene fit the mood so well.
Love.

Wow, I loved this movie, way more than I thought I would. I was weary, because I kept hearing about hand-held shots in the beginning that people had a problem with (I get motion sickness). But I didn't notice it at all. My favorite part was the beginning, when Joel and Clementine talk on the train and in her apartment. The acting was so natural. I also thought the scene with them talking under the covers was beautifully shot.

Hi guys!

I really loved this movie too. I mean, Charlie Kaufman's work is always amazing but the fact that he wrote a love story this time just blew my mind...man, I don't know how he excutes it with all the moving backwards and forwards with all the people appearing and disappearing...I mean, I just remember watching the part where Joel is chasing Clementine in the car and then gets out of the car, and he keeps going round and round...craziness...and then when time moves backwards in his apartment and it looks like he slashed in throat...oy...

I really loved everybody in this movie. I mean, Jim and Kate were freaking AMAZING (I love the role reversal with her being the wacky one and him being the stable one going on this crazy journey) but Mark, Tom, Elijah, even Kirsten were so great in this movie...

I absolutely loved how Mark and Kirsten were jumping on the bed while Joel is under...and the fact that he kept hearing their voices, esp. Elijah's...man, was Elijah so damn desperate to keep Clem to himself. I mean taking what Joel had said to Clem...that was very bad...recreating the memories that she had with Joel...so low sweetie...

Yeah, I really rooted for Joel/Clementine. I mean the way that Joel struggled to keep any memory of her and how he had those great conversations with her while he was unconscious were great...I loved that she said that he knows how impulsive she can be and that he would have to be the one to get out of it and tell her about them...aww...
