I got the impression that a lot of TDKR was Chris and his brother stringing ideas together as best he could, but lacking the enthusiasm of the first two movies. There are too many twists and turns to take it fully seriously. I still hate Catwoman blowing Bane anyway and Talia's sudden dark turn, plus Cillian Murphy's BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT reappearance as Jonathan Crane

I can't say I love everyone suddenly jumping on the Cillian bandwagon (where the hell were all these people back in the Batman Begins era?

) but yes yes YES this was a brilliant moment in the movie and it really elevates Jonathan Crane to supervillain supreme status, he was in awe of Batman
