Ooh, look - I just found the website for Paheli. Looks interesting, but then I'm a Shah Rukh fan.

hi, i actually think pahelis sounds a bit stupid, spoiler for the film follow:

- a ghost falling in love with a woman and impersonating her husband to get close to her and not getting found out until he returns. i know this is bollywood, but that story just sounds ridiculous, cant imagine how it will be done. bit ott imo.

but i am looking forward to seeing lucky as a salman fan, so will hopefully enjoy it.
still want to watch mujse shaadi karongi. also have you seen the trailers for maine pyaar kyun kiya, starring salman and his real life girlfriend, katrina and sushmita sen! looks like a typical david dhanwan film.

Hi
I think Paheli will be interesting . I wonder what Amol Palekar plans to do with a different kind of story. I am not aware of him directing any other hindi movie.
I have been re-re- watching the dvd of my fav Veer Zaara songs.... Main Yahan Hoon , Tere Liya.... actually all are good.
Have agood weekend

onthebalance - I understand where you're coming from but people might have said the same thing about the movie Ghost, which on paper sounds ridiculous.

Of course, I couldn't sit through Ghost but that's because I don't like Patrick Swaze!

You just never know - and of course I'm swayed because I adore Shah Rukh! Hee!

I'm getting Mujse Shaadi Karoge from NetFlix this Monday - I think it will be fun even though I have a hard time with Salman Khan (sorry otb - I know you're a fan). But I'm definitely giving the movie a chance.

Sony is showing Ek Hasina Thi . The only movie where I liked UM. Saif was ofcourse wonderful !!!
BTW I liked Ghost and PS . and I do like SRK and Salman

hi, i liked ghost, but paheli is different, as the ghost doesnt change appearance to "pretend" to be her husband, but is communicating to his wife and is actually a ghost. but we will see when it releases, maybe it will be better than i expect - as it cant be worse

i read on the internet that karishmas marriage was in trouble, as she hasnt returned to delhi where her husband and his family live since giving birth, but thought it was just internet rumours.

i love ek hasina thi, its one of the few films i own that i can watch again. didnt manage to watch lucky this weekend, as family events came up, but might try and watch it during the week.

Okay, you two - I give! You know I like and respect you both so much that I'll defer to your experiences, especially as I never saw the entire film (Ghost).

How sad about Karisma - I remember reading about her engagement in an earlier version of this thread. I hope it's just nasty gossip and not true, but I heard the same thing...

hi, its okay to disagree, we should make that the moto of our thread!!

sadly yes it does look like the karishma rumours are true, one good thing if you are a fan of hers, it also says she is returning to films.
another person returning to films is amrita singh after her split with saif.

OTB I haven't read any news recently ( since yesterday ) about KK. Its really sad.
Shrrshrr aren't we having more fun this way .
Paheli stars SRK and Rani had a news conference in UK last week (AVS was there ). I would really like to know how the movie ends. Its taken from a Gujarati novel. Rani talked very well and took Q&A from AVS. She talked about the movies she chooses to act in and SRK too and how much she adores him. He guided her when she was a 'young and new ' in bollywood !!
SRK's interview will be broadcast next week. he is a joy to watch and hear and he talks sooo fast

hi, cool thanks for the info, it must have been filmed while they were down for the concert in the uk.

which btw was apparently a major flop, it was advertised as srk, salman and rani and others and apparently those 2 were only on stage for 2 mins each and only did one song each the rest of the show was esha deol, lara dutta, malika and tushar kapoor. people actually got refunds as the organisers admitted it was wrongly advertised!

navami i only read that one article a month or so ago, it is sad when someones marriage goes through trouble.

You two are the best! And yeah - it's absolutely more fun to have healthy debate!

I'm glad those people got their money back - that's awful! I'd feel completely cheated. I wonder if their numbers are so short because of what happened with the last tour - the bombings, and all?
