Thanks for the new thread. Nice pic

As a teen, I had a poster of the film on my wall. It looked like this -

I loved those days when they would hand out free poster gifts

I had Titanic on VHS too. Now I have a DVD that split the film onto two discs (it literally cuts off where the Captain says "I believe you may get your headlines, Mr Ismay")

Sweet music cue here ("first sight") -

I have a collector's edition I got from Costco that ends right there too before disc 2!

Great song, thanks for that.

my Titanic blu-ray Director's Cut SE has the entire film on one disc, 45 minutes of deleted scenes and other extras on a second disc, and a making-of documentary and real Titanic documentary on a third disc. great buy!

Me too There's a lot to be said for this film and how it encapsulates the early 20th century social class system.

It doesn't feel like a modern film at all, which is what matters.

The documentary is a huge insight into Cameron's eye for detail.

The only thing modern about the film is the special effects!

Yep

This is so frightening

Look closely & you can see bodies slide back down the deck and fall into the water

The realism of that scene was so important to Cameron, because there were still survivors alive at that time, so they would see that.

it would be so ****ing terrifying. though i kinda would have liked to seen it like if someone magically filmed it when it happened. (like real life). would be interesting.
