Obviously I am thrilled to ribbons about DE and Damon finally finding some happiness, but honestly I feel kind of bad for Ian....:shrug:

Nina got no humanity Elena and always has Katherine to get her kicks...Here Paul has been given this fantastic storyline again, that he can really shine in and Ian gets DE relationship drama. It's no secret they both like playing the bad guy and I'm sure Ian would have loved something like this. I know Stefan needed something to do and I love Paul, I just wish Damon could get a big story arc away from Elena and give Ian something to really sink his teeth into and show off his talent...

Hopefully he can retain his snark and his edge despite being in a relationship and trying to be a "good" boyfriend. I'd hate for his character to get swallowed up being just one half of that relationship.

Well Ian still gets to play Damon as a badass so he's not exactly in the same position as PW. This is why I think Ian would've loathed Damon getting the cure b/c they would've taken away his swagger. I mean like JP said in that interview PW likes playing a bad guy but Stefan just isn't that... so they came up w/a compromise. & whose to say Damon won't get a storyline?

Btw I feel like patting myself on the back for guessing that Katherine would get the cure. Too bad she's not dead though :sigh:

To be honest I feel like the last season will be Ian's season. They will have to do something to Damon before it's all over with. Either Damon will sacrifice himself for his brother, Elena, someone in the group or something. I don't believe it's all sunshine and roses for Damon Salvatore from here on out.

Julie is just lulling us into a false sense of security :lol:

I'm in shock that Damon and Elena might actually get to be happy. I'm actually tentatively excited for Season 5. :sigh:

Also, I can't help but wonder what was the 7+ minutes that Julie said she had to take out because of time?

i doubt Damon's sl next year will be all about DE. he'll need to fight against silas and rescue Stefan etc. so he'll continue to kick ass and get things done and will have his snark.
it is funny to me that they are yet again creating an opportunity for Paul to play a bad-ass and more fun character than Stefan. it's like they know the character is fail and Paul is unhappy with it and it is not a good use of his talent so make up for it all this way where he gets to play a better character than regular stefan while stefan's good guy image is not totally tarnished so they can keep their good bro-bad bro triangle dynamics. with Damon they don't need to pull stunts like this as the character is very well written and is complex enough to challenge Ian and let him show his talents as an actor... i really would hate a sl where damon is replaced or mind controlled etc.

Well, one part was Damon telling Elena that he doesn't care about anybody else.

I'm curious to know how Elena is going to explain to the rest of the world that Jeremy is alive :goof:

Also about the sire bond, i didn't understand how it was broken, no explanation about it after a season developing that damn plot.
