This was my very first time I laid eyes on mr. Ian Somerhalder. I remember thinking, my goodness this man is so pretty, those eyes, I couldn't look away. I knew after watching so many Law & Order, this pretty man will be a catalyst to what us going on. He did a really good job and he was eeriely evil especially when you put the visuals in your head. It was nauseating. Ian did a fantastic job. I kept thinking what a pretty pretty man and he needs to bulk up to be a leading man in Hollywood. To that me charlie barker was his scariest role aside from Damon but now Damon is softening.

i think he did a great job in this eppy & acting with jason ritter!!

yes this role was def one of ian more evil & disturbing roles!

Hee, that is what he did, bulked up to get lead roles.

I never really found Damon to be really scary, but he is a vampire and vampires don't really scare me but fascinate me. I think nothing is more eerie than "human" evil.

ITA. I do think at the beginning Damon was pretty unbalanced scary like is he going to kill her or not. There was always that edge.

I do agree that Charlie Barker was scarier because of what he did to the brother, and how he was will g to let him take the blame. Sure he was abused but his no remorse no guilt and all manipulation, whoa. Yes human that evil is scarier. Unlike vampire, really there is no switch. Still he did s great job. He has almost an angelic face and he does that.

Man to watch that again. One scary dude. Even then I remembered being mesmerized by his eyes and kept thinking, the pretty one is going to be evil. The guy who is playing his brother, he looks familiar is that John Ritter's son?
