So when did you guys start shipping Damon/ Elena? :) The main reason I started watching the show was because of Ian, so I guess it's a given that I was going to be rooting for him :lol: But my ship was sealed when he stroked her hair while she was sleeping :love: |

And after reading the books, I fell in love with Damon, sans the Ian influence. The character is just amazing :love: But my ship started on their first scene on the book, when they met at the gym. I totally love that scene, it's so mysterious yet so sexy :nod: And it continued till the last book, they always have that sexual tension between them, they banter like crazy yet you know that hidden behind those banter is an actual feeling that is so intense, they mask it in banter :nod: And when the tv series aired, I was not disappointed with how Ian and Nina portray the role. They have great chemistry. And that amazing chemisty, as you pointed out, was validated in that episode where he was watching her sleeping. I wasn't planning on watching TVD, but I watched the pilot. I heard ppl say they liked SE but they were more in DE in the books. So I watched episode 2 to see if DE were any good. And I completely loved them! :love: Then I started reading the books.

Well, now that the tv series will be developing d/e, i'm pretty sure more people will fall in love with the pair :love:
And i can't wait for the new vd book too coz it has d/e awesomeness :yay: |
Normally I prefer to read the books before I watch a show/ movie but these books were hard to find :lol: Also TBH, I wasn't sure if I'd like the show that much, so I wanted to check it out first.
I started reading them after I'd seen three or four episodes or so and I fell in love with both characters. Every moment between them is fiery and intense :love: They quickly became one of my top ships ;) |

Thanks for the new thread, nice title :) To answer at your question Kara: I started shipping DE just after reading the description of their characters in a mag, I always like to do this, I read quickly how the characters are before a show begins and then I decide they should be together :D It's funny, I know but most of the time it works, the characters have chemistery :nod: Most of the time also they got bad endings :irked: But I hope it won't do it this time :) The fact that Ian was playing Damon helped a bit, but I think that even if it wasn't him I would have shipped DE ;) (except of course if Damon's actor was really bad^^) And I just saw the new webclip and oh my!!! :yay: That's great, finally we will have real DE scenes... I love when Stefan wants to speak to Elena, and she doesn't and Damon says "I'm sorry... Mmmh... But I don't think she wants to speak with you for the moment" he soo respects her choices there :sigh: |
I can't imagine anyone else as Damon. Ian is perfect. :nod:
