I'm getting even more excited for this season! Especially since JP confirmed that Damon's death will have hit Elena harder in some ways than the other deaths in her life before. And I'm glad to hear she's not necessarily succeeding in moving on. And I'm so curious about D/B whereabouts.

Yep that's the one. "This changes the story of the show". I'm so curious what that implies. Will bringing Damon and Bonnie back be done with a spell so powerful and intense that it completely alters the universe of Vampire Diaries? Will it change history? I'm so intrigued. .

ETA: I've seen some people worrying on twitter already about Damon screentime in premiere bc Ian has been in LA last few days but I want to point out that production/shooting for 601 just started last Wednesday (July 16) according to the director's (@Huntvision) tweets. And Ian tweeted on Thursday that it was his first day of S6. We've been told many times it takes about 8 days to shoot an episode so there's still plenty of time for Ian to get back to ATL to shoot more scenes for premiere. It's no big deal. We already expected to only see him in hallucinations/flashbacks anyway and then their whereabouts will probably be revealed as the cliffhanger. I just know there's no way Damon will be absent from majority of episodes in first half of season. __________________

Gotta be flashback (maybe part of their summer we never got to see) or hallucination. Sooooo excited!!! And Kat is in LA according to a tweet earlier so definitely something DE related
