SVU: "Doubt" (11/23) Episode Discussion

from tvtome.com

Quote:
The detectives find themselves in the middle of a "he said/she said" when a graduate student accuses a professor of rape, and he claims that their encounter was consensual; doubt is cast on the woman's veracity when she later falsely accuses Stabler of touching her inappropriately; her attorney drops a bombshell about Stabler's personal life in the squad room.

Good episode. It was nice to see Billy Campbell again! (LOVED him on Once and Again.)

I was PISSED we didn't hear the verdict. I think he didn't rape her, though.

I really liked this episode. I'm impatiently waiting to hear the verdict. Me? I voted 'innocent'. The vic's story didn't seem straight so I believed the professor's story.

I wasn't quite sure, so I voted "need more info". It was difficult to believe the woman after her history of lying. She even falsely accused Stabler of touching her inappropriately. But then I missed the part where Stabler then doubted the innocence of the professor.

Ok, I'm not a shipper, but when Stabler said, "Kathy left me", something inside me said "Oooh, now's their chance!"

So I wonder when they air this episode again if they will read a verdict during the ep.

I was surprised. With all of the attention Stabler's wife and 4 kids get I always thought they were solid. I wonder why she left him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back in "Charisma", wasn't Stabler taken off the case because of "personal reasons"? I guess the big assumption was because he had children. But maybe Stabler was already in the midst of marital problems.

Might have been... I never thought of that but now that you bring it up it does sort of make sense. Maybe we'll find out more about this situation in the episodes to come. I certainly hope so. I'm curious.
