According to imdb.com, Chris is currently filming something called "Pretty Persuasion." There's not much information other than his character's name is "Russell" and the following summary:
Quote:

The film centers on a sexual harassment scandal that engulfs an exclusive Beverly Hills private school. (Evan Rachel) Wood plays a teen who frames her teacher for sexual harassment. The teacher has yet to be cast, but (James) Woods plays the girl's father, Applegate (Christina?) is a reporter for a local news station and (Ron) Livingston plays a fellow teacher who also is a lawyer representing his colleague.

Thanks for the info dukesmom. It sounds like it is going to be a really good movie.

always2nl 09-03-2004 06:58 AM

It sounds like a good movie, but what is Meloni's roll in it?

bballplayer30 09-05-2004 06:10 PM

Thanks for the article, dukesmom. Sounds interesting. Chris Meloni always chooses such diverse roles. I can't wait to find out what kind of part he'll play in the movie.

I caught a few minutes of Runaway Bride last night, and Meloni was too funny. It's re-airing tonight on TNT at eight o'clock Eastern time, for anyone interested.

Hi, just wanted to come in and see information about Christopher Meloni's career. I really like him on L&O: SVU, and just caught him on Runaway Bride.

I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, waiting to get into the club Rain, when I saw Chris and (presumably) a friend. I didn't even recognize him at first; I saw a guy talking to one of the bouncers for Ghost Bar and ask for his name, and when the bouncer asked his name, he said Chris. It didn't register until he turned around and I got a good glimpse of him. I wished I had thought about saying hi to him, but I have pretty slow reflexes.

Hey, SPR Invader Pearl. :) Thanks for posting. Wow, that's so awesome about seeing Chris.

Christopher Meloni will be on Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown tonight, October 10, 9/8pm. He'll be playing against Matthew Perry, Stephen Root, Sarah Silverman and Michael Vartan. Here's the blurb posted on the Bravo site about him:
Quote:

CHRISTOPHER MELONI

Hometown: Los Angeles, California and New York, New York

Best known for:
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, OZ, Wet Hot American Summer

Playing for:
The National MS Society

Did you know: Chris named his daughter Sophia after the museum (and former church and mosque) in Istanbul, Hagia Sophia. He named his son Dante because it "just sounded cool."
***
Well, he started fine and then fizzled. At least he wasn't the first to be banished to the losers' lounge. As for the get-up? Dude, seriously, no.

I only saw the last half. When it was Matt vs. Michael. :( Wasn't Chris on the show before? I thought I remember seeing him on there but it wasn't with Matt.. I don't think...

dukesmom 10-12-2004 01:53 PM

Chris was the second player sent to the loser's lounge.

bballplayer30 10-12-2004 06:28 PM

Ooh, I like the name Dante... :D

I didn't watch the show, but it's cool that he was on. Who won the whole thing - Matt or Michael?

dukesmom 10-12-2004 06:34 PM

I just double-checked (I stopped watching around the time Chris lost) to verify that Matthew Perry won.

bballplayer30 10-12-2004 06:51 PM

Thanks, dukesmom. It sucks that CM didn't make it furthur, but I like Matthew Perry, so it's not too bad. :)

I caught a little bit of Runaway Bride last night, the scene where Julia Roberts, her dad, grandmother (?), fiancee (Meloni) and Richard Gere are eating dinner. Too bad the movie doesn't really interest me, otherwise I would have stuck around to watch more.

I wonder if this is when he was filming Celebrity Poker Showdown?

Carrie99 10-23-2004 12:38 AM

Wow, must have been cool to see Chris. :)

Yeah, it never seemed that great to me, so I never watched more than a few minutes of it. Unfortunately, I've always missed most of Chris's parts. The one part I saw him in was pretty funny, though.

ScorpioGrl 10-24-2004 06:46 AM

hey people!! i heard a personal tradgey is going to happen to elliot..

Jezebel In Hell 11-06-2004 11:00 PM

Do you guys ever read his website? The "Ask Chris" section is awesome - He answers fans' questions. He seems so cool. I've sooo got the hots for this guy.

I found his website a few months ago and I read some of the "Ask Chris" part. I think that's pretty sweet that he actually takes the time to answer peoples' questions and deal with all of the obsessed fans. Chris has to be one of the most down-to-earth celebs around.

BTW, love the quote in your siggie, Jezebel.

Jezebel In Hell 11-07-2004 09:41 PM

Thank you very much, bballplayer30 :)

You know wha surprised me when I read some of the Ask Chris section? He's a fan of Portishead. Most people I know don't even know who the group is.
I've got such a big fan-crush on this guy. It's almost pathetic.

I made a Chris wallpaper. I hope I linked this correctly..

bballplayer30 11-27-2004 09:06 PM

Yummy wallpaper, Jezebel.

Aw, I've got a huge fan crush on David Duchovny, it's all good. Everyone has to have a fan crush. :D Hm, I've heard some of Portishead's songs, but I've never been a big fan of the music. I do like the lyrics, though, wierd as that sounds.

Jezebel In Hell 11-30-2004 01:28 AM

Mm. David Duchovny. Verrrrry good choice :)
And thank you for the compliment.

Hey, anybody else wondering what Chris' role is going to be in the upcoming Pretty Persuasion ? I don't think he'll have an enormous part in the movie since his name is far down on the list of credits but I'm still looking forward to it.
