I did miss Keanu/Sandra in Speed 2, but I understand why Keanu didn't do that movie. Speed 2 was a Die Hard ripoff and not really worthy of the first movie. I'm just surprised that it took them so long to make another film together.

the one with the boat? How is that a Die Hard ripoff? it's way worse than any of those.

I guess it's more of an Under Siege ripoff. Which itself was a Die Hard ripoff.

Which History shows are you watching, Sarah? More Oak Island?

I'm watching Riverdale.

Is that all tonight? Or is that this week?

I'm off tomorrow, so I can stay up a bit later tonight.

I remember when The History Channel did shows about actual history. Not all this In Search Of... and X-Files stuff.

I watched History Channel in the 1990s and 2000s when they had shows about world history and American history. Russia: Land of the Tsars was a fascinating documentary.

OMG, China Beach? Tour of Duty? I used to watch those shows when I was a teenager. Those shows came out in the 1980s.

Back in the mid-to-late 1980s, Vietnam war movies were all the rage after Platoon came out and became a big hit, and won Best Picture of 1986. Then Full Metal Jacket, Hamburger Hill, and Good Morning Vietnam came out the following year in 1987, and that's when CBS came out with Tour of Duty and ABC came out with China Beach, both shows about the Vietnam war told from two different perspectives. Tour of Duty followed an Army platoon doing long range patrols through Vietnam, and China Beach followed the trials of nurses and doctors at a hospital on the My Khe beach in the city of Đà Nẵng, Vietnam.

Those bring back memories. I was just a teenager.
