Yeah, well the comics have some catching up to do. These characters have been around way too long for it to be reasonable to keep them that young.
Yeah, but they can't have them grow old and be unable to be superheroes anymore. That's why they retcon characters and stories all the time.
Yeah, but they can at least let them grow up properly.
Some characters do. They let Peter Parker grow from adolescence to adulthood, and then froze him around his mid-to-late 20's.
It's better whe they let characters grow up. And I prefer it when films acknowledge that these are not stories that evolved in the present day. X-Men: First Class did that when they set the movie in the early 1960s. That was the right thing to do, very satisfying. I liked the acknowledgement that the X-Men have been around for a while.
Uhh, well, the characters in First Class don't seem to age over decades, sum1. But we already discussed this.
Yeah, well that's just like the characters in the comics.
Yeah, but comics don't need actors. ;)
At least this looks promising: X-Men’s Storm Actor Promises Faithful Dark Phoenix Adaptation |
Thanks for that. :)
You're welcome. :) I'm hoping we get a better version of the Dark Phoenix saga than we got in X-3.
Wouldn't be hard.
Even if the movie ends up being underwhelming, I'm sure it'll still be better than X3.
Yeah. Oh, X3 was such a mess!
Yeah, X-3: The Last Stand, brought to you by no-talent hack screenwriter Zak Penn, and director and Hollywood sex offender Brett Ranter. :P
That was a really bad film. Just about everything about it was wrong. It damn near sank the franchise. All they could do after that was the Wolverine Origin film, which was crap. It wasn't until the First Class reboot that the franchise took off again.
