It's not just Marvel's "extreme" phase that was stupid, dragonfire. The entire decade of the 90s was filled with the "extreme" trend, whether it was extreme sports, or extreme video games, or extreme television, or extreme clothing, etc. That whole trend got totally ridiculous in its attempt to exploit Generation X culture like X-Games or alternative rock.
I guess that means I was an Extreme baby then.

Marvel's 'extreme' '90s comics are generally seen as cringe-worthy now, and despite revisiting cult favorite character Adam-X, even the X-Men .
Marvel's '90s X-Men comics were a damn sight better than the modern ones. In particular the comics from before mid-1995 were some of Marvel's best ever. That period and the mid-'80s X-Men include some of my top favorite comics.

The regular X-Men comics were. That Age of Apocalypse storyline was certainly fascinating. I just couldn't stand all that "extreme" stuff in the 90s. Extreme sodas, extreme sports drinks, extreme everything.

Oh no, not Havok. Can we please stop with the campaign to destroy Marvel superheroes?

Onslaught was one of the biggest drags of the '90s. He can keep his pieces.

He looked like an anime character.

Thanks, dragonfire.
