And here I thought you were reading Marvel comics in the '70s and '80s at least. They have a jail for superhuman types in Project Pegasus.

It's been a while, sum1. And I didn't read much X-Men. I mostly stuck to Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man.

Since when did I say Project Pegasus had anything to do with the X-Men? It appeared in marvel Two In One in the '70s and the Avengers were jailed there in the '86 annual, which I'd expect you to have read.

Ahhh, Marvel Two In One. That was the series with The Thing, right? It was The Thing's version of Spider-Man's Marvel Team-up. Yep, I remember Marvel Two In One. There was an issue where The Thing teamed up with Spider-Woman during the time Alicia Masters had been experimented on and had mutated into a human/spider creature. This was before Jessica even knew of Peter Parker's existence, so there was a bit of confusion when Ben started calling her Peter's wife.
Damn, the Avengers Annual in 86. I haven't read so many of those in so long I've forgotten a lot. I do remember the name Project Pegasus, I just forgot what it was. Marvel has so many of these secret installations. __________________

Thanks, sum1.
Oh crap, I think I may have skipped that one. I didn't read all of the Annuals. I didn't get back into comics until 1984 when Secret Wars came out and Spider-Man got his black and white outfit. By 1986 I was back into things, but I didn't buy everything. I wasn't making my own money yet. __________________

That annual was a classic. I read it in the summer of '86. It had Freedom Force (previously the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants) defeating the combined Avengers teams and taking them to Project Pegasus, where the government's representatives (Gyrich et al) accuse the Avengers of crimes and they're imprisoned. Spider Woman (Carpenter) helps spring them. The sequel, the West Coast Avengers annual, was crap, though. It turned out Quicksilver had set up the Avengers. The East Coast annual was pencilled by Steve Ditko, doing a much better joh than he did back in the '60s.
