Maybe in the stand alone Gambit movie we are getting

The timeline sucks that's for sure but perhaps they can properly introduce Gambit in the movies now that he has a standalone film. Of course at some point, he joins the X-Men and meets Rogue so they also still have to show that soon.

Really hope they figure something out to have Rogue a main character for the Gambit movie cause it surely will piss alot of fans off if she's not in it
