Iron Fist got cancelled before season 2 even had a chance to begin.

Season 2 will air and there won't be a season 3. Danny will still appear in the other Netflix shows, though, mostly on The Defenders. But this is why I said that it was a mistake to give Luke and Danny their own separate shows. Their individual comic books failed and the only longevity they had was as a team in the Power Man and Iron Fist comic, so that's what the Netflix shows should've done.

I'm sorry, but I think that's nonsense. Luke's solo comic lasted for almost as long as the Power Man and Iron Fist comic (it lasted 6 years and team-up book lasted 8 years). And the shows are not the same as the comics. Luke has done fine in his own show. His show is not only high quality, but also a critical and commerical success. The only reason the Iron Fist show failed was because of bad casting for the lead.

And season 2 of Iron Fist already aired. One would think you'd remember me talking about having watched it. It aired before they cancelled the show, not the other way around.

What you need to understand is that Luke Cage has a well-established identity separate from Iron Fist. Just because Power Man and Iron Fist is what you remember from when you were younger doesn't mean that's the only successful use Marvel has made of the character. And the shows aren't meant to be carbon copies of the comics. They go their own way and have done so quite well. Luke Cage is a highly successful show and to say the character needs to be teamed up with Iron Fist to be successful is downright insulting.

And as I said before, there is no guarantee that Danny will appear on the Defenders, because that show was a once-off miniseries event and there's no certainty that they'll ever make another season.
