Welcome to the new thread everyone! Sorry about the simple banner, I'm on my laptop so I don't have my Photoshop weaponry with me atm

Couple of things I would love for you guys to do:

- Check if I missed out anyone on the updated active members list. If other people come back, I'll add them to the list as we go along.
- There are a couple of birthdays missing from the list, would be great if we could add those.
- Provide me with a link to a recent picture of yourselves so I can link your member list name to it.

So as to not kill the thread by not adding anything to talk about: does anybody have friends that constantly wait on guys? I have this friend who basically killed her last relationship by waiting on her boyfriend to do anything... And now she's with a guy who will not call their relationship a relationship... and I asked her if she'd hang out on Friday. You know what she told me? "If I'm not doing anything with my boyfriend, I could."

Some people never learn.

I think at some point I might've been like that... who am I kidding, I can still be like that when it comes to Anna's Dad, though the circumstances are a little different. I know it's not what I should be doing, though and I'll manage to get out of it eventually.
But just with a boyfriend who's not willing to commit this way and yet just be sitting there waiting, it's not healthy. I hope your friend will realise it's not going to get him to commit.

Mandy, it's not something I have experience of first hand but I can see how that must be frustrating for you and her other friends. It does seem like if he's not willing to actually recognise their relationship as a relationship, she shouldn't be putting her plans on hold because he might want to do something with her.

I think your situation is definitely different, because of Anna. I mean, you and her dad will always be bonded over her and so it's not as though you can totally cut ties or move on from him in a straightforward way.

Mandy I had an experience with a similar guy (a few in fact) and I can honestly say that I didn't respect myself enough to be willing to wait around for them to be willing to commit. So I hope your friend realises it soon that if he doesn't want to commit, he won't and she's just wasting her time instead of trying to look for someone who will be more than willing to introduce her as his girlfriend...

Jen You and Stephen will obviously always be linked through Anna so that bond is of course different.

I forgot to tell ya in the last thread.. (cos I'm lazy like that) but Dora's LJ link is somehow labelled the same as mine in the welcome post! Oops!

I had a big night last night, but of course it just made me realise I'm really not a party girl, and that, man I could have used that money on better things, though of course I liked wearing a pretty dress and stuff.

Kim, I totally understand about not being a party girl, I'm just the same. I get so shy in social situations, I wish I could relax more at parties.

I have this new guy at work sitting in the same office as me and I really don't like him being here. He's fine most of the time but every so often makes snide comments which make me feel awful about myself. He's already implied I'm forgetful and don't do my job properly and makes comments about my lack of generosity (I just offered him a cup of tea and he said "that's the first time you've ever offered me anything" - which is a) not true and b) whatever happened to a simple yes or no?) It doesn't even sound like much when I write it down but it makes me feel like crap
