Yes. I have seen ''The Island of Dr. Moreau'' remake that was panned by critics. I do not recall watching that version starring Burt Lancaster & Michael York.

I haven't seen any of these. What's the story?

Here it is from the 1977 version: ''After his ship sinks, Andrew Braddock (Michael York) washes ashore on a tropical island owned by Dr. Moreau (Burt Lancaster). While waiting for a ship to return him to civilization, Braddock becomes disturbed by the strange creatures roaming the island, and at the same time falls for the lovely Maria (Barbara Carrera), who lives with Moreau. Soon Braddock discovers that the creatures are the results of Moreau's sinister experiments, and plots to escape before he himself becomes a victim.''

Thank you for the plot summary! Sounds bleak.

I haven't heard of Joan of Paris.

Yeah, didn't expect much more from a James Bond movie.

That film was pretty good I think. Only 13 books were written of James Bond. "Dr. No" is actually 6th in terms of story, but was the first James Bond film made.. "Casino Royale" would be first, Second is I've and Let Die", & third "Moonraker".

One of the last Tom Cruise I ever saw.

Kevin Pollack, Kevin Bacon and Noah Wylie were so good in it.

One of the last good ones for me too!

Here is Braddock: III. (1988) It is the ultimate Reagan era movie and white savior one man alone kind of film but I enjoyed it as a kid on TV back in the day.

Hardly the only one, though, is it? White man savior is a whole movie genre.

It sure is!

Here is The Concorde: Airport 79 (Airport 80) (1979) I really enjoyed it as a small kid when then recently found an interest in aviation!
