It is sure amazing, it does not have a lot of dialog for the length of the movie but it has a lot of classical music and a culturally recognizable score, 11 years later Star Trek: The Motion Picture used the same formula but it was not as successful!

It's been years since I've watched "2001: A Space Odyssey". It is currently available to stream on Tubi & HBOMAX. That reminds me that seen "Spartacus" yet that was also directed by Stanley Kubrick. My favourite Kubrick film is "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Atomic Bomb".

Wow. I didn't realize Kubrick directed Spartacus. That feels like a different lifetime, for some reason.

"Jason & the Argonauts" is highly rated I believ. "West World" from 1973 I want to see. I have watched some of the HBO show with that title, bit not the film yet.

I remember seeing Jason on PBS years ago with my mom and I remember the stop- motion animation seeing it for the first time!

My brother's name is actually Jason, so that's a story/film that resonates a lot.

Anthony Hopkins I remember is in season 1 of ''Westworld'', along with Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, & others. Another film that I was thinking of as I do watch the show with its same title on MeTV is "In the Heat of the Night" from 1967 starring Sidney Poitier & Rod Steiger. It won Academy Awards for "Best Picture" & "Best Actor", along with other Academy Awards.
