That's the one. It was a double-feature at a drive-in.

Ry brother and I got to see it, then my parents pulled down the back seats and we went to sleep while they watched whatever the second movie was.

Wow!

Here is Rashomon (1950) Directed by Akira Kurosawa! I remember seeing this in my art history class some years ago. To me it was like the ultimate "who done it" physiological thriller film.

Oh man, shout out to "Duel"! I can't believe it was directed by a 25 yr old Spielberg! Knowing he was still a "kid" basically while watching that one just showed his natural talent for visual storytelling! I remember being literally on the edge of the seat on my couch with the tension near the end!! Eeeek!!

Please add me. I watching old films. Lately they are the only movies that I've been watching. Last week I watched ''Cleopatra'' from 1963 & it was excellent I thought.

"Cleopatra" is 248 minutes long making it longer than "Gone With the Wind" & "Laurence of Arabia". It is on 2 discs. I watched "Seven Days in May" last night about a plot lead by Burt Lancaster's character "Gen. James Scott" to overthrow the U.S. president who wanted to sign a nuclear disarming treaty with the Soviet Union. "Col. Casey" played by Kirk Douglas tries to stop Scott. Ava Gardner is also in this film, but not as much as Lancaster & Douglas. Which old "classics" have you seen this year? I've watched over 15 in the past 4 months. Mostly from the 1950s.

Yeah. I mean, there are movies of of that era where women had larger roles than that particular one by Ava Gardner in "Seven Days of May", but yes things have iproved for them in that regard & having far more black women actors where from what I have seen of the 1950s movies films particularly, they were just not in them.

I'm pretty sure that ''Two For the Road'' has been on T.C.M. earlier this year at least once, but I did not watch all of it. T.C.M. on demand, HBOMAX, Prime Video, & Tubi are excellent options for ones that want to see older films/classics.
