i think that's the 1st time i ever heard someone refer to learning about drugs as "fun" you're made for the pharmacy!

PoP, i heard accounting's hard too..how come you didn't pursue Med? my Dad's a CPA by the way, and he actually wanted me to follow in his footsteps to but i decided not to. bottomline is, i kinda hate having to deal with numbers all the time

I'm not in the field of medicine, but I think I realised too late I wanna be!

I'm doing a degree at the momene, which is non-med related but I really want to be a midwife. Of course that'd be an extra 3 years training and I don't want to just give up my current degree to start with but I don't think I could cope with paying of my loan for this degree and taking out a new one for the next. Plus they'd be all the fees and a question of how I'd afford accomodation near a uni which offered the course oh and getting in with my non-science qualifications. I wouldn't be apply to apply till next year anyway...

/End rant. Maybe one day .

Well, as long as we're counting other stuff. I am a fairly new nurse. BSN. Graduated nearly a year now. I work in Labor and Delivery, which is swell (to use an antequated phrase).
Hopefully, I will be saying that in 10 years.

Elegantly Wasted I thought about going back to be a midwife. But I think I have decided that I am done with school. Sheesh! At one time I thought further education would be cool. But right now, I couldn't NOT miss it more.
If anything, if I get bored, I might consider transfering to Neonatal Intensive care. I need a little practice with neonatal IV starts first, though.

will let see where do I start lol. I went and got my medical asst degree at a tech school and now I'm taking some basic classes to get into the x-ray program come next fall. I'm also starting tonight my emt basic training class so I can do that. The joke in my family is the rate I'm going I'll end up going for my MD. I doubt it though don't want that much work. Plus I have a hard enough time believing I'm doing all this. I never show myself in the medical field but now a day I'm loving every moment of it.
