HISTORY LOVERS #2 :: Amateur Historians ::

The Historians:

Beyond Insane {Sarah} My main area right now without a full study of History seems to be Classics, as Roman is my favourite and Greek is my 3rd favourite. Medieval is extremely interesting as well and seems to be my 2nd favourite. However, do love all periods of History even if I'm just starting to get into History at a higher level. My goal is to get a Bachelor's of History and then get a Master's of Art in some era of History. As well as, Classics Minor.

DiamondDreaming {Nic} I have a keen interest in so many different areas of history, but my main passion is for Classical history. My love for all things Greek & Roman led me to studying the era at university and I now have a BA in Classical Studies! I love everything from Classical literature to the architecture, military history and mythology... But my favourite topic is Roman Social History; the life of the everyday Roman. I wrote my final year thesis on womens' role at Roman dinner parties, which was so much fun to do!

K'Vruck {April} I’ve always had an interest in History. It was always my best subject. I really love local history of an area and the myths and legends around it. I also love the history of Ireland and Scotland, especially Celt artifacts. I also love to learn about ancient civilizations, especially the Romans and Greeks and the mythology and the Medieval time period fascinates me. I hope one day to travel the world and see the castles. Hopefully soon I will return back to school and work on a Bachelor in History. I would love to one day obtain a job dealing with artifacts.

TFTNT!

I will have my exams in two weeks and now I have to learn so much about the history of our politics. I mean it's interesting but I don't think there is another country with such a complicated political history...

Well I don't read really nonfic so fiction it is.

The Outlander series is historically romance I believe. I haven't personally read them but I heard they are really good but each book is really long.

I've read a few historically romances by Karen Robards. Funny thing is one of them took me me forever to get into and I ended up loving it and the other one I got into right away and ended up hating it. But the one I loved is called Dark of the Moon. It's an older book from the 80s but I found it at the bookstore last year. I think they just re released it with a new cover.
