yay, new niece or nephew! looks like they will raise their baby as a"Potter-ite"?

Cute stuff!

I looked up getting Cursed Child tickets but they were already sold out for December plus the play is in two performances for two hours each... too much time away from the rest of my trip.

But I did score tickets for the British Library's 20th anniversary HP exhibit!

Yeah, they should just left it with the 7 books.

I'm planning to re read the books this autumn.

Leanne, I tried to get tickets last years since it's only a short flight to London, but it was impossible to get any

And I hadn't noticed there was Potter stuff for babies

Oh, you can find pretty much anything for babies if you just look for it. Let's just say I've had a lot of fun shopping since my nephew was born.

I want to do a re-read soon, but in Spanish. A friend of mine's whose father lives in Costa Rica gave me the idea. She did it some years ago before going for an extended visit, to refresh her memory.

And I'm going to Cuba in February, so I could do with a similar refresh.

Very nice

I'm in the middle of Order of the Phoenix now. Love that one even though it's a bit annoying Harry has so little self-control over his temper
And Umbridge... love to hate her

Had totally forgotten about all the Hermione/Ron banter in this one.

Harry's 15 in that one, right? I'm not saying I was a fan of the outbursts, but I could sympathize. Everyone wants to protect him, so they're keeping him in the dark about everything. So he feels left out and patronized...

Plus, you know... he's a 15-year-old boy.

I remember being annoyed, but I also tought the solution was more about the adults around him talking to him like a sentient being as opposed to... Well, either talking to him or at least do a better job of keeping him in the dark.

But as an adult I don't think I would have trusted a 15-year-oldboy either

I'm now at the point where McGonagall wants to strangle Umbridge That woman
And Harry is having private lessons with Snape and hating every minute

Fair enough on not trusting a 15-year-old, but I still think they could have handled it better. I mean, the Weasleys alone had five older boys. Don't me all of those people didn't know better. You treat a teenager like a child, even if it would make no sense to involve him fully, you're gonna create a brat.

Speaking of adults knowing better, who's bright idea was it to appoint Snape to be the one to teach Harry how to keep Voldemort from his mind? I don't care what anyone says about Snape being an expert at Occlumency (or was it Legimency?), that man was a bully of children, and especially of Harry (and Neville, but obviously he's not spening alone time with Neville).

Like, if you had to create a scenario in which Harry would for sure not continue with those lessons, I don't think you could come up with anything more effective, could you?
