Only 2 months until Spring.
I have received 5 planting catalogs.
Won't be able to plant until May; always a chance of snow & frost until then.

Rookie question here, but can flowers/plants that are meant to be outside start out inside? Like people do with some vegetables and such.

2 months until spring.

All seeds can be started indoors, and then moved outside.
I had some Red Hot Poker plants that weren't ready to plant in the yard,
so they are in my kitchen in a very large pot, trying to grow bigger before May,
so they can move outside.

I always love daisies.

Black eyed Susans are good for Butterfly Gardens.

We called them wild daisies when I was growing up... as though the more traditional sort don't grow in the wild.

But when you called them black-eyed susan, I started thinking maybe the name didn't translate from French. But, looking it up, it seems black-eyed susan, gloriosa daisy and yellow oxeye daisy are all common names for what is officially called a Rudbeckia hirtia.

So, you know, I'm happy to think the name just kinda evolved in Quebec and we somehow landed on wild daisy.
