Oh, wow. I don't know that I've ever seen a live peacock, let alone a white one.

If that is a peacock.

Either way, that's a beautiful picture.

Thanks, and he certainly is a peacock! I also have photos of coloured peacocks and peahens, which I took at stately homes' gardens/green areas. I will look for them and post them here too.

OMG. I never realized that peacocks are the males and peahens the females. That makes so much sense! Why didn't I realize that?

Thanks Mel.

Sunny, I would think a lot of people would not realise that either.
BTW, the chicks are called pea chicks and peafowl is the name for all of the birds collectively.

I found this photo of teenage me with my best friend at the time, with a large group of fellow heavy metal fans in The Merrion Centre in Leeds. There were about 16 people in the group and we went round together and had loads of fun. I've had to smudge all the faces except mine because I can't ask permission to show them.

I learn something new every day. It's why it's fun to be alive!

That's a lovely picture. You look like you were having tonnes of fun, too, which is the best look to have. It's very considerate of you to fudge out the faces of the other people in it. I totally understand and hope I would do the same, but not everyone does, do they?

Thanks Norman and Sunny and you're welcome Mel.

I still love metal, as well as rock, pop etc, and Iron Maiden have been my favourite band since I was 15 (about May 1987). I love them as much now as I did then and Bruce is still my favourite singer. Whenever I listen to music, it is mostly metal.

I used to dislike metal in the same way that I disliked grunge in the '90s... which speaks to my ignorance more than anything else.

As I've grown older, I can't say that I've gained knowledge. I couldn't tell you the different between Metallica and Iron Maiden, for instance, in terms of genre. But I have gained appreciation.

Nothing like EDM to make a person enjoy people actually playing their instruments.

I especially love melodic metal, be it Iron Maiden or symphonic metal like Nightwish etc. I sing my fave bands/singers songs a lot, and not just when I'm listening to them. I love humming guitar parts too. They are so memorable too.

Going back to your post after my pictures, I forgot to say that I always smudge peoples' faces on photos, even ones of buildings, scenery etc. if the faces can be identifiable. The only ones I don't do this for are ones of my deseased family members, and when my dad was alive I would ask him first before posting pics of him or us together.

I really appreciate the heck out of your care to make sure living people are not identifiable.

Like I said, I am very ignorant when it comes to music. But growing up has taught me to be less judgmental. Every genre has something I can appreciate.
