Crafters #1 Knit, crochet, sew we do it all

Hey, thought it'd be cool to talk with people who knit, crochet, sew whatever and share what we're all doing.

I just started a baby blanket cause I've never knitted on circular needles before. My boyfriend wants me to knit him a blanket so I figured I'd start with a small one. I just started going to ebay to buy my yarn and stuff, I think it's going to hurt me rather then help I'm already addicted.

I've just asked for a sewing machine for my birthday from my parents So am getting into sewing at the moment...bought some really cute patterns for shirts, skirts etc and bags.

My grandmother taught me how to crochet when i was little but I've forgotten now - I'm asking her to crochet me a top and hopefully, will re-learn.

I think I want to try and learn to crochet see if I like it like I do knitting. I wish I had more time to knit. I just ordered some yarn off ebay to knit my boyfriend a blanket.

Crocheting is so much easier than knitting. I have a bajillion sets of knitting needles and no idea how to use them. My mother tried to show me once and then forgot how and couldn't show me but I've been crocheting for years.

Sewing is fun too. You meet alot of interesting people sewing, believe it or not. Especially if you make your own clothes because you meet people who make their own clothes or at least want to and then you get to have fun sewing parties and stay up until 6 in the morning sewing stuff... or maybe that's just me and my friends.

I've been crocheting my boyfriend's blanket off and on for so long that he's an ex now but I promised him I'd still finish it...

Oh great idea

I love to crochet but I haven't made anything in a long time, I can knit some basic things but someone should show the whole procedure to me again

I'm not sure if this belongs here aswell but I started making a pillow using a latch hook (this is the English word I found on the box so hopefully you know what I mean ,), I'm already half way and it looks ok, it's a frog holding an umbrella because it's raining

They sell latch hook kits here. It's kind of like carpeting, is it not?

Yes a little, basically you just make knots till yor finished My dad made a whole carpet once using latch hook but I stick to making pillows. THat's a lot faster, a carpet would take me 20 years or something

I just started knitting the blanket I was telling you guys about. Today I'm heading to my local yarn store to find some yarn to make bracelets. I'll take some pictures of the stuff I'm knitting later today to show you guys.

I love to crochet. I've been doing it for about a year and a half. I'm not really experienced yet. I've made a blanket, scarf, a purse, cotton dishcloths, and I'm working on a granny square blanket. It's something that calms me and taught me more patience. I'm glad I learned how.

I used to do latch hook when I was younger. I really liked it, and it was really easy to do. It makes me want to get another kit to work on.

Wow, serious thread revival

I knitted a scarf! That's about all I can manage at the moment, and it's way too long,

I love cross stitch.

But my real passion is jewellery making I think, I love it.
