Never really got big into comic books. But growing up there was a comic book store a couple blocks down. I used to love going in there. I used to buy the Sabrina ones all the time. Which I realized that most ppl don't/didn't realized it was comic books.

my first comics were Archies, lol, my dad was a truck driver and I would go on the road with him and he would pick up a different archie in each truckstop we'd stop at for me to read.

That sounds awesome. I remember reading a few of those.
Watching episodes of The Big Bang Theory makes me want to go to a comic book store. __________________

Of course, CIBO. I'm always interested to hear about what others are reading, what are those about?

I'm going to go with TV tropes to help describe these things. I'm... really lazy.
Beasts of Burden is like the X-Files or Supernatural, only with animals as protagonists (despite that it's not for kids). It's done in watercolor, and is lovely. We3 is a fairly short graphic novel involving the cybernetic weaponization of animals. It's very graphic, and sad. Excalibur is an X-Book from the 90's. It's the European team, led by Nightcrawler (with Shadowcat, Meggan, Captain Britain, Meggan, and Rachel Summers et al). Natsume's Book of Friends is manga, it's a more laid back approach to a supernatural story. Gentler. And takes place in the countryside. There is also an anime. BLAME! (really Blam! I guess) is a far future science fiction manga. |

Shadowcat is a one of my favorite X-men from the comics that I have read. I have read some of the X-men books that Joss Whedon wrote on.

I have heard about that, I have loved Rosario since Sin City (Which I should probably add to my list, lol) so I have been really wanting to check that out.
I have to some trades of Fables and Jack of Fables, to catch up on once I finally finish this huge the walking dead compendium vol. 1, and I also got some trades of Locke and Key which is by Stephen Kings son, Joe Hill, and the first trade of Unwritten which peaked my interest. I got some a while back and have been in more of a book mode so haven't read as much so I have to catch up, and on some of them I plan to start fresh from the first trades to catch up with things I may have forgotten. Even though I've heard really mixed reviews, I keep going back to the idea of getting Buffy season 8 on my nook. -Pammie __________________

I would like to be added to this thread. Comic books have been a long time hobby of mine. My first comic books were when I was very young. Looking back at it I wish I cared for them like I did now. Since I had the whole Batman Knightfall series. I am DC & Marvel fan but mostly DC since a majority of my favorites are in DC Comics especially, Batman. DC titles I follow despite the rebooted 52 universe: Batman, Justice League, Catwoman & Justice League Dark. I follow Avengers, Spider-Man & X-Men mostly for Marvel. I do like the Walking Dead comics as well.
