Food Q & A | Food Enthusiast?? Childhood favourites? What foods do you love or hate??! Because we all love to faceplant ourselves in our fave food!
I know there is a lot of foodie threads on this board but I was just pratting around in my office and I had all these questions whizzing around my mind....
What foods were you brought up on through your childhood? And do you still eat it today? Is there any cuisine that you have yet to try but would like to give it a go? What foods do you think make the world go round and you want to master cooking it, perhaps? Which foods do you dislike? Do you eat a fast good restaurants or do you prefer homemade? __________________

What foods were you brought up on through your childhood? Pasta. I still eat it. Almost everyday Thursday. Thursday is Spaghetti Thursday.
Is there any cuisine that you have yet to try but would like to give it a go? Hmmm.... Stuffed cabbage. What foods do you think make the world go round and you want to master cooking it, perhaps? Italian dishes. Which foods do you dislike? Seafood. Do you eat a fast good restaurants or do you prefer homemade? Honestly I like both but I prefer homemade. __________________

Pizza Hut to launch Hot Dog Bites Pizza this week
This is interesting, because hot dogs go with just about everything it seems, now added to pizza should be incredible. I think there has been hot dog flavored ice cream before. Unsure when I'll try this pizza. __________________

What foods were you brought up on through your childhood?
I was brought up on French Canadian cuisine, which is impossible to describe as it's a hodge-podge of a lot of different things: French, English, Irish, Scot, a little Italian, a little Eastern European... Basically, it's "bland" (I prefer to call it "subtle") paesant food from all over the globe. And do you still eat it today? For sure. It molded my palate, so my pasta sauce is still the one my mother made. You learn to tool around with the basics, but it stays pretty much the same. For instance, I don't eat red meat anymore, so my shepherd's pie is made with ground turkey, but it's still shepherd's pie. Is there any cuisine that you have yet to try but would like to give it a go? Loads. German, Austrian, Finnish, Norwegian, etc. What foods do you think make the world go round and you want to master cooking it, perhaps? I'm a big starch addict, so as far as I'm concerned potatoes, pasta and bread are the basis of everything. Which foods do you dislike? The only foods I don't like because of the taste are eggs and cheese. The rest is a question of texture. Like, I don't like avocadoes because it feels like it's already been digested. Ditto "real" peaches because hairy fruit is just weird to me. Do you eat a fast good restaurants or do you prefer homemade? I'm not a great cook, but of course it's cheaper and healthier to make your own food. So I do that for the most part, but I will go to fast-food restaurants every once in a while. I think you need to scratch that itch, every so often, just to keep the "discipline" of home cooking, you know? __________________

avocadoes are weird I avoid them when I can...I'm also kind of the same with hummus, it can taste really good but the texture is *shudders* :
