I went to Venice, Rome, Vernazza, in the Cinque Terre, Verona, Florence, and a little Olive Garden B&B in Zagarola, near Rome.

Wow lots of places! Sounds wonderful.
I've only visited Venice and Milan. I was in Venice for the Carnival and then head to Milan then Como. I miss eating gelato everyday, the buffalo mozzarella, the olive oil, the pistachio yogurt __________________

Funny - the main attraction of all-inclusive resorts, for me, is having someone else make the food for me.

I've never been to an all-inclusive resorts yet. I know it's very popular in winter time. I want to try it and see why people like it.
yeah part of the fun is being able to sit back and relax. it's great to have someone else cook for us for a change. On vacation, I do a little bit of both. I eat out and I also cook (when a kitchen is available). I like going to local markets and see local produce. __________________

Gah it makes me want to go back to Italy already. I really want to visit the southern Italy.
Hmm Macau, it's an interesting place. The Portuguese influenced buildings. The chinese portuguese fusion cuisine. All the casinos. They now have an airport and their cross-city tram just started operating recently. It'll be easier to visit than when I did years ago. __________________

Southern Italy is the best part. The amazing scenic route of the Amalfi Coast is simply breathtaking but stay in Sorrento. Pompeii is close by as well. Sicily is truly amazing and a must visit. Napoli was a good experience as well.
I would like to visit Macau for sure. I've done a lot of travelling around South East Asia though which is basically my favorite part of the world for travel destinations. I love the Caribbean too, love the islands in the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean countries, some parts of Middle East and North Africa, enjoyed the Indian subcontinent. I wasn't too keen on China though when I went there but Japan is a good country to visit especially Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. I think the only country that I didn't enjoy was France but I haven't been to South of France yet. I'm not appealed by most of Europe though or South America as well. Kenya and South Africa were definitely worth visiting. And my experience in Australia has been pretty good too __________________

I saw the Macau episode on a local TV travel show and it reminded me of Cuba in the way you had the touristic side, which was quite ritzy and flashy, and the "real" side, which was pretty shabby but perhaps more interesting.

I heard it is flashy and glitzy in Macau which isn't really my thing but I've seen bits of it and I might be a good place to go to for 3 days before heading to Vietnam - that would be my plan. I liked Hong Kong a bit as well

wow lots of traveling Mike! yeah 3 days should be enough for Macau. There's a glamour side to that city. I stayed at my mom's friend place and saw a bit of the "real" side.
Vietnam seems interesting to visit. The beaches and the French flare. ahh France...I like and I don't like Parisian attitude, no thanks. I'm sold to Brittany and would go back there any day. I visited South of France a bit with Carcasonne and Montpelier but didn't stay very long. People are nicer in the south Carcasonne has a beautiful medieval castle. Montpelier, my friend showed me the old city and we went to the beach. It was nice I doubt I'd go back to Hong Kong any time soon. The city isn't what I remembered anymore. Too many people but always so much to do. Now it's just sad. __________________
