I'm loving all the quotes! So many great moments... and reading them really makes me see how angst they really are...

I'm so excited that we have a thread. And to finally be here posting on it. This was the first thread I visited after the intro thread.

I love all the quotes too. They really are angst-y. I think that's a part of why I love them so much. I like a bit of fire in a relationship.

I like the BlackSwan thing. It's clever. Just wondering where it came from.

What's the fun it's all happy all the time? I mean, I like ot see mt couples happy, but sometimes you need a little drama. if it's done properly.

Yeah I agree.

No relationship is perfect. Not everyone can be happy ALL the time. It's just impossible. Emotions are rollercoasters of life, and I feel that Jacob and Bella represent that greatly.

Plus, in this relationship it's between fire and ice (Jacob and Edward).

Exactly. I love the fact that they can be mad at each other. They don't think that by being mad they'll be loving each other less... they can fight and make up and it's just too amazing to see them in their habitat and being able to just be.

I love couples that can fight. It's a sign of passion and willingness to disagree. If a couple gets along all the time, it doesn't read to me like extreme compatibility like it does to other people. If a couple can argue and then make up, it shows that they're not afraid to really let the other person see them-flaws and all.

What I especially love about their fights is that they both have the maturity within their relationship to agree to disagree. In New Moon and in Eclipse Jacob can not understand why Bella wants to be with Edward or why she's okay with the Cullens being vampires, but he lets it go. And even though Bella can't understand why Jacob hates them so much, she also just decided not to fight over it anymore.

The bickering but being happy with each other despite the fights is part of what makes the relationship so real. It's also a large part of why Bella and Edward's relationship seems so out of balance and just not real to me.

Yeah, I hope it's okay to say this but one thing I didn't like with E/B was that Bella couldn't get mad at him, especially in Eclipse and that really annoyed me and I don't want to make comparison but it's just to say that I love how with Jacob they had those fights and that she get mad at him, like you guys said it feels real even when their argue over stupid reasons because that's what people do anyway, and in Eclipse we can really feel behind those little fights that there's passion there and also frustration, from Jacob because Bella won't admit what she really feels about him and from Bella because she must have fought her true feeling for him, she was kinda in denial and she just wanted him to be her friend but then like she admits later it was hard to imagine them being just friends when they actually loved each other like this.
