The Baudelaires attempt to convince family banker Mr. Poe of Olaf's actions only to be sent away when Poe dismisses their claims.
When Olaf gives Violet the starring role in his latest theatrical production, which ends with the two main characters being married, the siblings realize that Olaf intends to acquire their fortune by marrying Violet, which is legal.
Klaus confronts Olaf, who threatens to kill Sunny if Violet doesn't follow through with his plans. At the very last minute, however, Violet signs the marriage certificate with her left hand, invalidating the proceedings due to the fact that she is right-handed.

I loved this ep! I like the humor they use. It's so crazy that only the kids can see through Count Olaf. They judge and Mr. Poe should have known something was up. But it makes for great comedy.

fox24 01-16-2017 08:36 PM

Yeah Mr. Poe was funny with I don't like my friends either lol it made me less mad. Glad their away from living with the count even though it's not the end of their misfortune

I really see the adults in this story as a representation of society's neglect and carelessness. It's not that they're stupid, it's that they're choosing not to see.

I agree or in the case with the judge becoming weak with their own desires

BlondieLeigh 01-22-2017 03:58 PM

Yep, and it's a shame because she was the most likely to step up.

heartღaflutter 01-23-2017 02:37 AM

That's an interesting point, I'll have to pay attention to that because I'm going to watch #2 now! :)
