THE VILE VILLAGE
BOOK THE SEVENTH

Published 2001
The Baudelaires are sent to a village called V.F.D. They believe it has something to do with the secret the Quagmire triplets mentioned before they were kidnapped. The Baudelaires are treated cruelly by the villagers, but their guardian Hector is nice, if a bit skittish. The children find couplets once a day, and think the Quagmires are trying to communicate with them.

Cannot wait... to reread! ;) This one brought up so many new questions, with Jacques, and the tattoos, and what it all meant. It was the middle point of the series in so many ways, both physically and in that it transitioned the orphans from being shuffled along from guardian to guardian, to now being out on their own, flipping the script

BlondieLeigh 02-04-2017 07:37 PM

Really did result in a big change.

Awesome Nerds 02-04-2017 10:53 PM

I had so many assumptions as I read that one, just trying to understand what was happening

BlondieLeigh 02-06-2017 04:28 PM

Totally had that thing with Isadora's messages figured out right quick, proceeded to shout at the book until they figured it out ;)

BlondieLeigh 02-08-2017 04:05 PM

:lmao: Was shouting at the book effective?

Awesome Nerds 02-08-2017 08:48 PM

BlondieLeigh 03-02-2017 11:46 AM

Awesome Nerds 03-03-2017 09:58 AM

I can't get mad at them, Leigh, I can't! ;)

BlondieLeigh 03-03-2017 11:52 AM

It's impossible  They go through too much to be mad at.

Awesome Nerds 03-05-2017 01:53 PM
