I love these so much!

It is really ridiculous how much this movie was panned when it first came out. Now it is considered a classic.

Melis 09-28-2016 07:55 PM

Why was it?

GardenSirens 09-28-2016 07:59 PM

i'm glad i wasn't alive for it because it would have pissed me off. I grew up adoring this movie because of my dad. If I told you this before, i'm sorry. My dad doesn't like horror movies. Only a few really catch him. Like he likes the first "Saw" because of the super shock ending. I agree, that's definitely the best ending in horror films...but he always admired this movie because of the effects, especially with the dog. To this day that blows him away even with all the advanced technology. Because of that, I've always appreciated practical effects and people who use their hands to create...instead of a program on a computer.

Exactly. This movie is 34 years old and I am still amazed and blown away by the effects in it. So real and shocking.
