Thread for the Superman movie franchise (or anything Superman) that debuted in 1978 with Christopher Reeve as Superman/Clark Kent. Three sequels came in the 80s in 1980, 1983 and 1987.

Christopher Reeve retired from the role and the character was not seen on screen again for 19 years.

You're welcome. I can't believe I hadn't made one before. Superman was HUGE to me. The original movie is the first movie I remember seeing.

I watched the first and second Superman movies probably 30 times each. I love this series. To date, it's the only major film franchise I don't own.

I've probably seen them more. I even remember my dad special ordering the first movie for me. It was the first movie I ever owned.

If you ever decide to purchase, you have to get the set they released some years ago. Great, great stuff.

Well there was the US release, but that's 75 dollars. There is a UK release of it for 21 dollars and it's all 5 movies (including the Donner Cut of 2) and lots of bonus features. the uk release is all regions so it would work here

Whichever you can get. So much bonus features to watch.

I hope to get it soon. I love Superman 1 2 and 5 so much (and Man of Steel which isn't in the boxset but i already own t)

Wow, I can't say that I'll see these, but I love Superman.

The first and second one are the most iconic and best films. 3 and 4 were....well, they weren't as good, lol.
