He did. They were going the wrong way too if you remember. Ended up going between two big semis. Steve was so scared his fingers had dug into the dashboard.

This is probably John at his best. Sure, he was annoying at times, but then it changed towards the end. His speech to Steve in the motel is wonderful and then the revelation at the end. You just want to hug him.
