the interesting thing about this movie was

it was written by a then-unknown writer JJ Abrams

the plot hints at identity and switching it, a theme which JJ Abrams would later explore in his series and films. in the case of this movie, it was merely through paperwork, but you get what i mean

"Between the time when the 'Me Decade' of the 1970's emasculated the Baby Boomer generation, and the rise of political correctness and the hypersensitive Millennial snowflake generation of the 21st century, there was an age undreamed of... known as the 1980's. And unto this... THE ACTION HERO! Destined to wear the jeweled crown of Hollywood upon a noticeably 'untroubled' brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!"

Gosh, so many. There is a site, The 80's Server, that has most of every 80's movie listed by each decade. I will have to go through it and count. I don't trust Wikipedia because I have noticed there are some movies missing on the pages they have by decade/year.
