I don't know if it's sexist or political. You are eligible 25 years after your first album. That doesn't mean you automatically go in. Their first album was 37 years ago. So, they were eligible 12 years ago. I am sure there are A LOT of people who are eligible every year and they only induct a handful at a time. I am sure they will get in.

Nope. Just the 25 years. Once you hit that, you just wait and see every year.

What happened to them?

Oh, the usual. Personality conflicts, creative differences, drug addictions. Jane Wiedlin was the first to leave. They replaced her but only did two shows when they realized their hearts were no longer in it.

That is true. Inner turmoil and such. But, they did reunite in the 90's again and have been together off and on since while still doing their own individual thing.
