Welcome to the Fame Appreciaton thread.

Remember all those young teenagers striving to become actors, dancers and singers? Fame became a classic movie and one of my favourite movies ever.

It's a wonderful movie. I love it to pieces, and I was so happy when I found a cheap DVD copy of it earlier this summer. :yay:

I keep wishing for a release of the series on DVD too, that'd be awesome.

I heard theres a petition on tvshowsondvd.com for the series.

The theme song is absolutely wonderful, I never get tired of it.

Who's everyone's favourite character?

I loved Ralph Garcey and Doris Finsecker.

I :love: that movie to pieces ! My favorite character is Montgomery McNeil. Paul McCrane did an awesome job and I love the song Is it OK if I call you mine ?. It was actually written by McCrane himself for his girlfriend when he was 16.

My second favorite is probably Leroy Johnson. He's just too cool to be true ! Too sad Gene Anthony Ray passed away last year :(

Montgomery is an awesome character.

It was very sad about Gene. He will be missed by so many.

I've only ever seen a production of the stage show and that was about 4 years ago, now. I remember enjoying that, though.
I wouldn't mind seeing the film.

You should definately watch the film...you'll like it. I want to see the Fame theatre production.

yeah, I was upset when Gene Anthony Ray died too. :bawl:

I think Bruno might've been my favourite character in the movie. Danny was my favourite in the TV-series.

I didn't really watch the series. I wish I could see it now. Hopefully it will come out on DVD.

I :love: the movie but also went to see the show on monday night which gets me everytime i just :love: every song and the dance moves are just great !!

The music and dance is great.

I'd love to see a stage performance of Fame, but unfortunately I live nowhere near any place it's in production.

I'd love to see it too. I wonder whether its exactly like the film or has different bits changed.
